Behaviour Consultation

Finding difficulties with your horse? Maybe his behaviour seems a little out of character? Or maybe your relationship just needs a little TLC? 
Are they just being 'naughty' or could there be more going on...

Behaviour 'Session'

The next steps in your Solution. These 'sessions' are only available after a full Behaviour Consultation has taken place.
All sessions are discussed and tailored to each individual - no two are the same! 

Riding Lessons

Lessons available from private to a max of 3 people per lesson. Lessons can either be held at Portree Livery yard, in our Indoor arena, or at your own facility/property.

Stable Management/Theory

Tailored individually to what YOU want to learn; practical yard skills, management skills, care of the horse, feeding, bandaging... the learning is endless!

Schooling

Residential schooling provided for agreed periods of time where horses can stay on site at Portree Livery Stables for that extra brushing up on flatwork/jumping/hacking/ fitness, or simply for you to sneak in a lucky wee break away knowing your horse will be kept ticking over! Schooling on your own premises can also be arranged.

Starting Youngsters/Backing

Need an extra pair of hands for those early days in starting your youngster? Or maybe you'd like your horse to come to us for those early learning stages? Every individual case will be advised as to which approach/road is best for them!

Clipping

All traditional clips possible. Or custom 'Iona specials' are available to make your horse as comfortable as possible!

Rug Wash

Indoor and outdoor rug wash and re-proofing. Numnahs, saddle cloths, boots and bandages also accepted.
No repairs.
